"A new song covered exclusively for this album, "Sven At Ten" it felt particularly timely for me to look back at such a successful career and ask that question, were things better once upon a time? Of course they weren’t but sometimes in music we are allowed to take those liberties, but not so much in life as it turns out.
I truly felt that this song deeply reflected the fragility of my voice and how sometimes when you sing at the very edges of your vocal range you expose who you truly are as a person.
'The Way We Were' is so much more than a torch song for me, I have dimmer switches when I need to shine a light. This is me a my most vulnerable, a delicate sincere ballad."
